HoboTheology.com began nearly seven years ago. In January 2017, the journey begins again. And you are invited!
This Hobo Life
HoboTheology.com is all about the journey. “Hobo Theology” is a funny name for a blog, but the title attempts to capture two key concepts of the Christian life. First, we are all journeymen. We are all pilgrims passing through. Our home is not here in this present world; it lies ahead. We are all spiritual hobos. Second, our theology is on a journey. It is incomplete. We can know for certain what is good and right and true, and yet this knowledge is ever deepening. We continue to travel “further up…further in.” So then, HoboTheology.com is all about the journey. It is a place to think and talk and walk together on the way. And it is this togetherness that should be underscored in this redux.
Seven years ago, this journey began as a solo trek. But during that time, it became apparent that the journey would be far more fun and beneficial as a fellowship. A many-stranded cord is not easily broken. If one falls, his fellow can lift him up. We are, all of us, better together. And that is the main difference about this restart.
HoboTheology.com is relaunching as a team site. It will belong to a group of writers. It will be a shared enterprise, and we are convinced we will all be better for it. You will meet these authors in the coming weeks (and I can’t wait!).
Our commitment is to post weekly on Tuesdays for a year. We will be talking theology, ministry, and soul.
We hope you will join us. We hope to hear from you. We welcome your voice and your thoughts. We need you!
So, will you go with us?
