The First Flower of Spring

by Derek Leave a Comment

The older I get, the longer I live, the more significant Easter becomes.

The resurrection of Christ means all my wanderings lead somewhere.
The resurrection of Christ means the lessons I learn are eternal.
The resurrection of Christ means death does not reign.
The resurrection of Christ means all things can be made new.
The resurrection of Christ means the curse of sin is broken.
The resurrection of Christ means I have purpose for today.

Particularly this year as I think of my own loved ones lost. As I see bombs bursting all around. As I see friends losing friends, friends losing family. I grieve this life east of Eden. But the resurrection of Christ tells me God is making all things new. The resurrection is the first flower of spring.
So I wait in hope.
