Invitation to the One Year Bible 2021

[Crosspost]

I want to invite you to join us for a journey through the One Year Bible in 2021!

The staff at Immanuel Church will be embarking on this adventure, and we want to invite you to join us.

We believe, with the Apostle Paul, that “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

And that means a regular diet of God’s word is essential, and that means this year in the Bible could be a very rewarding prospect. This journey, literally, could be, for you, a life-changing journey. This time next year you could be a different person. (We really believe that!)

Now, as you consider this invitation, let me tell you about two tracks you can take on this journey…

Track 1: The whole Bible in One Year. This path involves a daily reading from the Old Testament, New Testament, a Psalm, and a Proverb. To simply read these passages straight through takes about 12-15 minutes per day.

Track 2: The New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs in One Year. This path is the same as track 1, but it eliminates the Old Testament narrative portion. But you would still be reading the New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs portion of each day. This would take you about 8 minutes to read.

Either track is a great option. More or less isn’t necessarily better. Your selection may depend on your personality, your season of life, what you were reading this last year, the time you have available, and any other number of factors.

And let me give you an out altogether: Either track may not be the right fit for you this year. You may have other interests or readings you are working through. And that’s great! Our desire is just to see everyone in God’s word and everyone ready with a plan for that. So, if you’ve already got a plan, good! Carry on!

But if you’re interested in the One Year Bible, track one or two, let’s go! Let’s do this together!

Okay, let’s talk resources.

Resources

To help you along, we have several resources…

  • Free Copies of the the One Year Bible at Immanuel Church.
  • A PDF of the schedule for download.
  • YouVersion provides the same track in their app.
  • There’s even an audiobook in the New Living Translation (Amazon).

Any or all of these may be useful to you as you set out to complete this journey.

Alright, the ball is in your court.

If you would like to journey with us, pick your track and select your resource, and let’s get ready for January one!
