Hobo Theology 2023

Welcome to the new year!

Thank you for reading Hobo Theology!

I am excited and thankful for another year. [Thank you, Lord, for each day!]

Looking Back

This past year (2022) our path has ambled through a variety of topics, including the spiritual disciplines, solitude, and Psalm 103.

Fun fact… Here are the most-viewed posts from this year:

  • Dumbphone for the Spiritual Win
  • Learning from the Rock Badger
  • Who Are the Nephilim?
  • What Is Solitude
  • Review of Common Bible Translations

Looking Ahead

In this next year, I am hoping to finish up the series on solitude and our meditations on Psalm 103. I also plan to share some more topical posts.

There is one experiment I would like to run. I would like to try posting sermon notes. I mostly manuscript sermons these days, and so I thought I would try sharing those notes here. It is an experiment because I am not sure if that would be helpful and because I am not sure how practical it will be for me to keep up. But I am planning to give it a go for a few months (probably through May 2023) and then evaluate.

Finally, I invite you to subscribe to either the RSS feed or the email service. I try to share posts on social media, but those outlets are ever-changing and unpredictable. They sometimes do not post new entries as they should through the automation WordPress provides, and they do not reliably surface or display the entries that do post. RSS and email are still the trustiest old workhorses.

Thank You

Again, I want to say thank you for reading, commenting, and sharing. I enjoy and am helped by the exercise of studying, thinking, and writing, and by the accountability of trying to keep it up on this blog. I am also sharpened and encouraged by your feedback. It really is a collaborative process, so again, thank you for sharing the journey!
